2007-2008 Arizona Rain Maps

A well known fact among Arizonans and local wildlife managers is that quail populations are directly correlated with the previous year's winter precipitation.  Quail populations literally explode in areas with high precipitation. The "Quail Hunting" map will primarily guide you to the 2007-2008 season hotspots for Gambel's Quail, while the Mearns map is specifically designed for Mearns quail.  Summer precipitation is directly correlated to the available amount of food for larger animals such as elk and deer.
Look for areas or pockets that received as much rain as possible in the maps.
